<p>PURPOSE:To apply high-speed methane fermentation to sludge or org. waste liq. CONSTITUTION:The digestion gas generated from a digestion tank is separated by a polymeric gas separation membrane into a reflux gas consisting essentially of carbon dioxide and a discharge gas consisting essentially of methane. The reflux gas is returned to the digestion tank and blown into sludge, and the carbon dioxide concn. in the upper space in the digestion tank is kept at 50-60vol.%. Carbon dioxide is replenished, as required, from outside the system, or the digestion gas is separately circulated and blown into the liq. in the tank to agitate it. The output of methane is increased with such simple device and operation, and the discharge gas suitable for fuel is obtained in large quantities.</p> |
