<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently oxidize NO to remove the same by generating square wave pulse streamer discharge by applying square wave high voltage across a discharge electrode and an earth electrode and passing NO-containing gas through the gap between both electrodes in this state. CONSTITUTION:A discharge electrode 7 and an earth electrode 8 are provided in opposed relationship. Square wave high voltage is applied across the discharge electrode 7 and the earth electrode 8 to generate square wave pulse streamer discharge and, in this stage, NO-containing gas is passed through the gap between both electrodes 7, 8. As a result, NO can efficiently be oxidized to be removed.</p> |
