摘要

PURPOSE:To enhance the hardness and toughness of a cutting tool such as a milling cutter by forming a hard layer harder than the inside on the surface layer of a tip holding member to which a throw away tip is attached and by specifying the hardness and the layer thickness. CONSTITUTION:A recess part 3 opened to a tool tip end and an outer circumference is formed and a supporter (tip holding member) 4 is detachably attached. A tip 5 is detachably attached to the supporter 4. The surface layer of the supporter 4 is made as a hard layer harder than the inside and the hardness is set in a range of HRC from 40 to 60 and the layer thickness in a range from 0.1 to 1.0mm. This supporter 4 is formed by cementation hardening on the surface layer of an injection molding.
