PURPOSE:To provide the looper driving mechanism for an accurate and easy-to assemble sewing machine with less number of parts. CONSTITUTION:Looper driving cams 6 and 7 are made by fixing a cylindrical cam with an axis inclined by theta against a main axis 5. On the other hand, a looper driving fork which is a U-shaped cam follower is installed on the looper driving axes 6 and 7, and this fork is engaged with the inclined cam. The fork is installed with the degree of freedom absorbing the deviation of the shaft center of the main axis 5 and the looper driving axes 6 and 7 against the looper driving axes 6 and 7. Accompanied by the rotation of the main axis 5, the fork is rotated to rotate the looper driving axis by changing the inclination of the cam surface of the inclined cams 6 and 7 in the plane including the main axis 5 within the range of + or -theta. Thus, a smooth driving transmission is realized by the degree of freedom to install the form, resulting in preventing abrasion and backlash. |
