PURPOSE:To provide a shoe sole having low modulus and excellent antislip properties, heat resistance, cutting resistance and weathering resistance. CONSTITUTION:A rubber composition for shoe soles mainly consisting of 100 pts.wt. rubber, 3-30 pts.wt. block copolymer of styrene with isoprene and 3-30 pts.wt. petroleum-derived softener, wherein the rubber is a polyisoprene rubber, where the block copolymer is one having a styrene content of 5-50wt.% and in which at least 70% of the isoprene portion is hydrogenated, the molecular weight of the block copolymer is 700000-400000, and the JIS hardness of a shoe sole after crosslinking is 50-75. |
