PURPOSE:To prevent a printing accuracy from being affected by a backlash and play. CONSTITUTION:A transverse stylus device 23 is overrun a target value by a predetermined amount, thereafter being returned by an amount obtained by adding a backlash correction value to the overrun amount. An elastic pressing member 77 is provided on the transverse stylus device 23 for absorbing a play by pressing the transverse stylus device 23 against a square stay 20. Double nuts 71, 72 are screwed into a screw shaft 40 and fixed on the transverse stylus device 23. The double nuts 71, 72 are screwed into the screw shaft in the state that their contact surfaces are in strong contact with each other. |
