PURPOSE:To provide a forming roll having an accurate and fine uneven pattern and transferring no unnecessary difference in level. CONSTITUTION:In a forming roll having an uneven pattern on the peripheral surface thereof, the forming roll is equipped with a roll base material 4 and the roll shaped stampers fixed to the peripheral surface of the roll base material and each of the stampers 2 is formed into a roll shape and has no joint.
