PURPOSE:To improve steering feeling at a high speed range by controlling the operation of an actuator which displaces the housing of a steering gear device to a vehicle body based on detected signals from a vehicle speed detecting means, a load detecting means of a steering link device, and a vibration detecting means in a steering system. CONSTITUTION:A housing displacement coefficient delta which increases with an increase in a tie rod axial load F1, F2 and a vibration level (a) is determined based on detected signals from tie rod axial load sensors 41, 42 and a wheel acceleration sensor 43. A displacement coefficient (ko) by vehicle speed which is increased when vehicle speed V is increased to a prescribed vehicle speed, and is decreased when the vehicle speed V exceeds the prescribed vehicle speed is determined based on a detected signal from a vehicle speed sensor 44. The operation of a hydraulic cylinder 31 is controlled so that a housing 11 may displace to a position which is indicated by a target, housing displacement S1 which is determined from both the displacement, coefficient delta and (ko). |
