PURIFICATION OF POLYGLYCEROL

摘要

PURPOSE:To decolor and deodorize polyglycerol useful as a base for cosmetics and organosynthetic chemicals completely and simply by treating crude polyglycerol with hydrogen and then deaerating in nitrogen. CONSTITUTION:Crude polyglycerol is treated with hydrogen by using a noble metal-based hydrogenating catalyst (palladium catalyst supported on the surface of active carbon or silica) at 100-300 deg.C and then deaerated in nitrogen and/or steam under <=760mmHg at 150-250 deg.C to purify the objective polyglycerol.
