PURPOSE:To stably disperse sparingly water-soluble salts by dispersing the sparingly water-soluble salts together with xanthan gum, etc., in water. CONSTITUTION:Sparingly water-soluble salts such as calcium, magnesium, barium or iron, together with xanthan gum [used in an amount of preferably 0.01-1.0wt.% based on the total amount of the salts and water] or the xanthan gum and other pastes such as pectin (used in an amount of preferably 0.5-0.7wt.% based on the total amount of the salts and water), are dispersed in water. Furthermore, the resultant aqueous dispersion system of the sparingly water-soluble salts is capable of providing a drinking composition useful as a laxative, a roentgenographic contrast medium, a nourishing beverage, etc. |
