<p>PURPOSE:To restrict the decrease of a voltage applied to a head thereby to improve the printing quality by lowering the printing speed when the data of higher dot density is to be printed, and saving power consumption CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor 5 outputs dot data of one line to a serial/ parallel converter circuit 11, with energizing a heat generating body 2 corresponding to the printing dot of a line thermal head 1 to be conductive. At this time, a voltage applied to the head 1 from a power circuit 14 is compared with a reference voltage preset by comparators 17, 18. If the applied voltage is lower than the reference voltage, the microprocessor 5 controls a feed motor 12 to decelerate the printing speed.</p> |
