<p>PURPOSE: To attain a minimum flowing-out of oil from a damaged tanker by a method wherein a valve means of a normal-closed means is opened when a sensing means of each of cargo tanks detects damage of the tank and concurrently a hydraulic hose breaking the normal-closed means is pressurized to release a passage and oil is flowed from the cargo tanks to an empty ballast tank. CONSTITUTION: A level sensor 42 arranged at each of cargo tanks C may detect a reduction in liquid level of oil generated by a flowing-out of oil from the cargo tanks C and output an output signal to a computer 44. Upon reception of a signal from the level sensor 42, the computer 44 generates an alarm, inputs a control signal to each of valve actuators 40 and hydraulic power back actuators 98 so as to release a passage. With such an arrangement as above, a butterfly valve 50 and one-shot valve 80 are opened to cause oil to be flowed from the upper part of the damaged cargo tank C to an empty ballast tank B.</p> |
