PURPOSE:To obtain acrylonitrile in high efficiency by ammoxydation of propane. CONSTITUTION:A stock gas containing propane and ammonia is brought into contact with a multiple oxide-based catalyst in an oxidized state at 400-600 deg.C, in a virtually oxygen-free state, and the resulting catalyst in a reduced state is separated from a product stream, and before contact of this catalyst with propane and ammonia again, this catalyst is reoxidized with an oxygen-contg. gas. Thereby, the objective acrylonitrile can be obtained in high efficiency compared to conventional methods, without coexistance of a halogen compound and also with no danger of explosion. |
