PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized and inexpensive device for carrying out paper assortment work efficiently by carrying out the automatic mechanical paper assortment work in order to reutilize the paper sheets after use, in a paper obverse/reverse surface detecting device. CONSTITUTION:A bundle 2 of the paper sheets after use in a paper feeding tray 1 is driven out one by one by a paper feeding roller 3 and a separating plate 4, and the existence of printing on the obverse surface side of a paper sheet 6 is detected by the printing detecting line sensors 12 and 13. A transport passage for the paper sheet 6 transported by the transport rollers 5a and 5b is switched by a scraper hook 7. As for the paper sheet 6 reversed by a reversing roller 8, the existence of the printing on the reverse surface side is detected by a printing existence detecting line sensor 14, and discharged into a reversal paper discharge tray 16 by the actions of a transport passage guide 10 and reversal paper discharge rollers 9a and 9b. If a not-yet-used paper sheet exists, the reversing roller 8 is separated from the transport roller 5a, and the reversal paper feeding roller 11 is press-attached onto the transport roller 5a, and the paper sheet 6 is returned to the original, transport passage, and then the scraper hook 7 is retreated, and the paper sheet is discharged into a paper discharge tray 17. |
