<p>The preparation and characterization of rat monoclonal antibodies against a major type-specific neutralizing determinant of HIV are disclosed. The antibodies are useful in the diagnosis of AIDS and ARC, in passive immunization against exposure to HIV and in related immunotherapies against AIDS or ARC. The rat hybridomas of this invention are useful for humanization of the rat monoclonal antibodies.</p> |
