PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition having excellent voltage response, standing use for many hours under stress by forming an electrical insulating oxide layer on the surface of particles of conductive material (semiconductor) to give solid particles and dispersing the solid particles into an electrical insulating medium. CONSTITUTION:An electrical insulating oxide layer such as SiO2 or Al2O3 is formed on the surface of particles of conductive material (semiconductor) such as TiO or SnO2 to give solid particles, which are dispersed into an electrical insulating medium such as petroleum-based lubricant or silicone oil by using a ball mill, etc., to give an electrical rheorogical fluid composition not requiring adsorbed water, having a wide working temperature range, low conductivity of fluid, small electricity consumption, workable both in direct current and alternating current electric fields. The electrical insulating layer is formed preferably by chemical liquid phase method. |
