PURPOSE:To reduce the rolling load, and to make the high draft rolling work possible, by shifting the center of the inner work roll in the direction opposite to the tension acting on the material passing the rolling pass, and by additionally arranging the roll bender. CONSTITUTION:The center A of the inner work roll 6 is shifted to the run-out side in respect of the center line of the outer work rolls 8, 9, and the center B of the inner work roll 7 is shifted to the feed-in side. Hereby, the centers A, B, of the inner work rolls 6, 7, are shifted to the opposite side of the tensions T1, T2, acting on the material S. When the material S is rolled between the rolls, the feed-in side inner work roll 6 is attracted to the feed-in side, and the run-out side inner work roll 7 is attracted to the run-out side, because of this offset of the work rolls' centers, and the outer work rolls 8, 9, are also held horizontally through the material S; hereby, the roll does not cause the horizontal distortion during the rolling work. Moreover, the roll benders 19, 20, 21, 22, are installed between the roll chocks 15, 16, of the outer work rolls 8, 9, and the housing 12, and hereby, the better effect can be attained. |
