PURPOSE:To efficiently use a telephone line by calling a center from a terminal equipment in proportion to a data occurrence frequency so as to transmit an upward data, as for a terminal equipment of a CATV system which transfers an upward data to a center by using a subscriber's telephone line. CONSTITUTION:Data to be transmitted to a center (I) are sequentially accumulated in a data memory 15, and when a microcomputer 11 detects that there is no remaining space, a terminal side network control part 12 makes a call so as to transmit an upward data to the center by way of a subscriber's telephone line 7, as a result, the number of calls decreases, and thus a large scale CATV system is constituted with a fewer numbers of telephone lines. |
