PURPOSE: To obtain a tandem mass spectrum on each affinity ion without mutually separating affinity ions that differ with mass. CONSTITUTION: This spectrometer includes an ion source 1, a particle detector 6, two separate time of flight time of flight units 3 and 5 between the ion source and the detector, a controlled ion excitation unit 4 between the time of flight units, and a unit that measures the time of flight of particles arriving at the unit 6. These all are arranged on one common path, the ion flying from the ion source in the ion optical system is maintained in the ion path, and the excitation unit 4 and the optical system are controlled by a computer controlled unit. |
