PURPOSE:To provide a high frequency acceleration converging device of an RFQ linac, excellent in symmetry in cross section and capable of generating a quadrupole electric field excellent in uniformity in the direction of a beam acceleration shaft. CONSTITUTION:Conductive blade portions 4A-4D and conductive metal plates 2A-2F are connected to each other via conductive insertion portions 3A-3F, thus constituting the conductive blade portions 4A-4D and a plurality of resonance cells in the direction of a beam accelerating shaft. The conductive metal plates are connected to a conductive outer cylindrical portion so as to be excited in a TE11N mode. Consequently, it is possible to generate a quadrupole electric field excellent in symmetry and uniformity inside the conductive outer cylindrical portion. |
