PURPOSE:To improve the degree of freedom of design and to expand an applied frequency range or the like by providing a main transmission line formed as a film pattern to a dielectric board and a coupling transmission line laminated to the main transmission line via a dielectric body. CONSTITUTION:The directional coupler is provided with a main transmission line 6 having an incoming port and an outgoing port patterned on a dielectric board with a length equivalent to 1/4 wavelength of a microwave and with a coupling transmission line having a coupling side port corresponding to the incident port and an outgoing port patterned on the dielectric board. Moreover, the coupling transmission line laminated to the main transmission line patterned onto the dielectric board via a dielectric substance consists of a travelling wave coupling transmission line 7 and a reflecting wave coupling transmission line. Thus, the degree of design is improved and the applied frequency is expanded. |
