<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a toner which is electrostatically charged with satisfactory environmental stability, ensures sharp electric charge distribution and does not undergo the deterioration of the chargeability by mechanical force by sticking a polymer contg. a specified fluorine-contg. vinyl monomer as a monomer component to the surfaces of toner particles. CONSTITUTION:A polymer contg. a fluorine-contg. vinyl monomer represented by formula I or II as a monomer component is stuck to the surfaces of toner particles with a substance capable of forming radicals on the surfaces. In the formulae I, II, X is -COO-, p-phenylene, etc., each of R1 and R2 is H or 1-3C alkyl, 1 is an integer of 1-7, m is an integer of 1-19, n is an integer of 0-7 and Y is H or F. A toner capable of stably forming copied images having excellent image quality for a long time can be produced with a wide degree of freedom of material selection without requiring a special reactor.</p> |
