<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a failure in the attracting and carrying of a recording material on a carrying belt by carrying the recording material from a transfer position to the upstream side in the moving direction of the carrying belt, that is, to a position within the radius of a photosensitive drum. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical photosensitive drum 1a having a radius R, is opposite to a transfer electrifier 4a via a carrying belt 8. When the transfer position is A, and the position separated from the transfer position A by the radius R to the upstream side in the carrying direction, on the carrying belt 8, is B, the recording material is fed onto the carrying belt 8 on a segment AB from above. At this time, an angle formed by a line connecting the centers of the shafts of a pair of resist rollers 13 carrying the recording material onto the carrying belt 8 and the carrying direction on the carrying belt 8, is made smaller than 90 deg., and the recording material is carried toward the transfer position. Thus, the leading edge of the recording material is surely carried to the contact part of the photosensitive drum 1a and the carrying belt 8.</p> |
