ELECTRIC DOUBLE LAYER CAPACITOR

PURPOSE:To prevent positional deviation between an electric double layer capacitor element and a pair of lead-equipped electrode boards which clamp the capacitor and hence improve the reliability and outside view of the capacitor. CONSTITUTION:This invention comprises an electric double layer capacitor element 1 and a pair of lead-equipped electrode boards 10a and 10b which clamp the element 1. There is formed an embossing 12 (second embossing) which is slightly larger than the outside dimensions of the element at least one of the lead-equipped electrode boards so that the positions of the element and the lead-equipped electrode boards may be determined according to the embossing. This construction prevents their positional deviations and improves the reliability of the element by applying pressure to the element properly, thereby preventing a defective outside view attributable to the positional deviations.
