PURPOSE:To detect the file name of a still image file stored in the file device to be connected to a stationary still image transfer device by using a portable still image transfer device. CONSTITUTION:A portable still image transfer device 1 is device 2 by way of a telephone line 5. The transfer device 2 is connected to files such as a magneto-optical disk device 4, etc. When, by using a function key 13 on an operational panel face of the transfer device 1, a request for a still image file name is transmitted to the transfer device 2, the file is retrieved and the data of still image file name is transmitted from the transfer device 2. Based upon this file name data, a file name is displayed on a display part 12 on the operational panel face of the transfer device 1. By this, the file name of a still image file stored in a file can be detected by using the transfer device 1, so that usability of the transfer device 1 is improved. |
