PURPOSE: To provide an automated interval adjusting mechanism, with which a coil can be produced with fixed quality in a short press cycle. CONSTITUTION: A device and a method for automated interval adjustment are provided to be utilized for molding and hardening press. The interval adjusting device is composed of plural sets of adjacent wedges. The set of wedges is provided between two dc servo drive devices 113 and 119, and between linear operators 115 and 123. One servo drive device 113 is an UP-drive device 113 and this UP-drive device 113 laterally presses all downside wedge members, so that the upside wedge members can be moved vertically, along with an inclined plane correspondently sliding along with the inclined plane of downside wedge members. A similar downward movement is achieved by the DOWN-drive device 119. The set of wedges forms the base, so as to eliminate the interval between a downside press bar and the upper hard mold of molding and hardening press assembly. By using the interval adjustment device composed of wedge members, the desired dimensional tolerance of material during hardening and molding processes is secured. |
