PURPOSE:To prevent an image at the leading edge of a transfer paper from being transferred and developed again by performing copying from a detected color in an area positioned at the leading edge of the transfer paper in the carrying direction thereof after detecting the color and the position of a specified area in a color image original. CONSTITUTION:The color and the position of the specified area in the original, for example, the specified area within about 100mm from the leading edge in the paper carrying direction are detected, and copying is successively performed from the detected color in the area closest to the leading edge. Namely, the color recognition and the position detection of a spot obtained by specifying the area of the original are performed by a CCD unit 4, and the color and the position are numbered in order. Next, the numbers of the color and the position of the area closest to the leading edge of the transfer paper in the carrying direction of the transfer paper are selected, and one of developing devices 10b-10d, which develops this color (i), is moved to a developing area on a photosensitive body by a control part 26, then the color (i) is copied. The specification of the area for which copying stage has been performed is eliminated from image data, and such process is performed to all the spots obtained by specifying the area in the case, of specifying the remaining area. |
