The two tubular parts (5,6) over each other in the axial direction of the shaft and the pretensioned spring element (8) lies axially between the two tubular parts. One tubular part (5) associated with the shaft (1) encloses and is axially movable with the rotatable shaft (1) while maintaining a radial distance (7). The shaft (1) has a radial collar (9) whose OD is larger than the inner bore (10) of the movable tubular part (5) and which by resting flat on an end face (11) of this part can turn and be radially displaced. The shaft (1) is closed by the collar (9) in its end area (12). USE/ADVANTAGE - Acoustic sealing of vehicle steering column. The two displaceable tubular parts compensate for any axial stagger between the shaft and through opening ensuring a silent operation.
