At the bottom end of the hexagonal tool shaft (1) is a reduced hexagonal section (3) which has sharp edges (4) and is slightly larger than the internal hexagon of the socket head screw (2). To remove a screw the tool is driven into the socket head by blows on the shaft end (6). The screw can then be turned using a spanner (7) on the hexagonal shaft. On the free end of the hexagonal section is a centering section (5) with a circular cross section of a smaller diameter than that of the hexagonal section. ADVANTAGE - Simple and reliable.
