The voltage source load is generated independently of variable load by a consumer appliance, with an extra variable load stage in parallel to the consumer appliance. The voltage source supplies a current measured by a measuring resistor in series with the consumer appliance. An operational amplifier controls the load stage such that the current is kept constant independently of the consumer load. The non-inverting input of the amplifier (VI) is connected both to a first reference voltage source (URefl) via a first ohmic resistor (R1), as well as to the internal junction point of the measuring resistor (Rm) via a capacitor (C1). ADVANTAGE - No high faults, due to continuous output of the voltage source.
