An accommodation unit (18) for a dustbin is arranged on a pivot beam (20) and pivotable around a horizontal axis. The beam is fitted on a lift beam (26) movable between lower and upper end positions. It can pivot between a starting position within the vehicle side contour and a reception position projecting outwards. The accommodation unit pivots from the starting position by pivoting of the lift beam and pivots itself in a horizontal position underneath the bin receptor. It opens to accommodate the bin, then closes and raised with max. lifting speed to an upper tipping position. ADVANTAGE - Empties and replaces dustbins in shorter time and with less effort.
