<p>An image processing method for improving the reliability of an industrial visual sensor. In this method, flags such as the data specifying image data, the sensing values of the image data, the program name, the calibration data, the correction data are attached to the image data picked up by a camera (22) of the visual sensor, and the image data are stored in an auxiliary storing device (25), (S1-S5). After a production line is stopped, the image data which has been stored in the auxialiary storing device (25) is fetched using the flags sequentially in a frame memory (16) of the visual sensor. For the fetched image data, an image processing program is executed to reproduce them. By observing the monitor screen (24), the reliabilities of preset teaching data are checked, and the causes of failures of sensing image data are investigated.</p> |
