The vacuum servo has a vacuum section (54, 56) linked to the inlet manifold, and a working section (55, 57) alternately linked to the inlet manifold or to the atmosphere. The diaphragm separating the two sets of sections is spring loaded into a rest position. To speed up the return movement of the diaphragm, the two sets of chambers are linked during brake release, leaving the diaphragm to move rapidly. When the working section section is linked to the inlet manifold, for subsequent setting of the servo, the connection between the sections is blocked. The control valves for the servo sections are controlled via an anti-lock control circuit, using anti-lock control logic. ADVANTAGE - Improved brake response, simple brake control.
