The struts are joined by a metal plate (4) on which the shelf (5) rests. A little above the shelf is a crossbar (6) welded to the struts, with a bend (7) in the middle, protruding towards the book, and two end curved parts (8). Above the crossbar (6) are a second (9), and a third (10) crossbar near the pin (2); both posses bends pointing towards the book, and curved parts bending away from the base of the book. The end book support when pulled out fits by means into opposite holes in the uprights, while the curved parts rests against the uprights insides.
