Locking device for circular connector with shrouded contacts - has interlocking U=shaped locking element gripping shrouding collar

The closable locking device fixes the connector plug having a plug nose (3) outside the shrouding collar (2). A locking segment (4) is push-fitted onto the collar (2). The locking segment (4) has a U-shaped cross section, forming an insertion groove. The inner leg (6) of the U locks behind the collar (2). The outer leg is formed as locking housings (7) with an upper (9) and a lower (8) housing part each having a hanging loop (10). The lower housing part (8) locks over the collar (2) and has one or more nose holders (11) into which the plug nose (3) is inserted. The upper housing part (9) is pivotably attached to the lower part (8) and has a bolt (12). This (12) locks behind the inserted nose (3) when the upper housing is closed. The two hanging loops (10) overlap when the locking housing (7) is closed. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for connecting machine to power supply. Simple and functionally efficient system which can be used for different round plug devices.
