Degradation of harmful organic material - using lignin-degrading organisms, without the need for specially prepd. substrate

Degradation of harmful organic material (I) is carried out using lignin-degrading microorganisms. The organic material is mixed with potato pulp and, if necessary, water, so that the extracellular water content is 20-90 wt.% (based on the total wt. of the mixt.). One of the components of the mixt., or the whole mixt., is inoculated with the micro organisms. Pref., the wt. ratio organic material (I): potato pulp is 1: 0.01 - 10; and the mixt. contains lignin, lignocellulose or cellulose, esp. a mixt. of sawdust and wood chips. USE/ADVANTAGE - Simple process can be widely used. It does not require a specially prepd. substrate.
