MOLTEN ZINC-ALLOY COATING ARTICLES WITH AN EXCELLENT CORROSION RESISTANCE

摘要

A fused zinc alloy (Zn-Al-Sm alloy) plating material with good corrosion resistance is composed of 1.0-7.0 wt.% aluminum (Al), 0.01-0.1 wt.% samarium (Sm) and the balance zinc (Zn) and inevitable impurities. Addition of samarium improves homogenity of concentration of aluminum in molten zinc, gives a dense plating layer and good looking surface, prevents side plating and increases corrosion resistance. The obtained Zn-Al-Sm alloy plating material has a dense structure, a homogenious plating layer, good formability and good corrosion resistivity. Then it improves the life time of iron material (cold rolled steel plate, cold srawing steel wire) by coating.
