The rotating ring orienting feeder (100) has a hopper (120) for containing an article supply. A support retains the ring for rotation above the hopper in a horizontal position. A conveyor (121) is mounted within the hopper to supply articles to the ring. A drive imparts rotation to the ring and conveyor. Articles are supplied to the ring by the conveyor and are qualified on either side of the ring. Articles which are not in the predetermined position are returned to the hopper for re-supply.
