A pharmaceutical based on a camomile extract contains a matricin-rich, dry camomile blossom extract. USE/ADVANTAGE - Matricin is a chamazulene precursor, which has a considerably stronger antiphlogistic effect than chamazulene, but is very unstable. The invention refers to stable, matricin-contg. camomile prepsn. Thus the extracts can be used as antiphlogistics. The other ingredients in the extracts, esp. Bisabolol, also have antiphlogistic properties, as well as antibacterial, antimyocotic, anti-ulcer and musculotropic-spasmolytic properties. Thus the agents are esp. suitable for the treatment of inflammations.
