The switch has a terminal plate (4) fitted to each breaker module (1) exhibiting a connection surface (9) for the incoming line, the position and configuration of which varies in dependence on the application of the switch. The connection surface (9) is provided by a separate component (8) fitted to the terminal plate (4) via fixing screws (12) threaded into aligned bores (7, 11). Further fixing screws (6) are provided in a second fixing flange used to attach the terminal plate (4) to the end face (3) of the breaker module (1). The aligned bores (7, 11) in the terminal plate (4) and the connection surface component (8) are positioned to allow the connection surface (9) to face in different directions 9O degrees apart.
