The invention relates to a method and to a device for protection against frost of plantations of plants trained along wires stretched between stakes, such as vines. A uniform reduction in the surface offered to the circulation of the air in the vertical sense is obtained via a web of netting with a small mesh size, made up of strips of netting (50, 51) unrolled over the tops of the stakes (11-41) and the framework wires (13-43) of several consecutive plant rows, these strips of netting being stretched laterally via tensioning strands (7) connected to cables (9) stretched between the hooks (8) or to the wires connecting neighbouring rows.
