The ski (1, 2) has a base and an upper plate (3, 4) whose shape is progressively asymmetric towards the front and back. The plate is equally thick along all its length and its inner edges are parallel longitudinally to the inner edge of the base (5, 6). The centre part of the plate (11, 12) is equal to the width of the base. The front and back parts of the outer edge of the plate are angled inwards with respect to the outer edge of the base (7, 8). The width of the plate is progressively reduced towards its front (9, 10) and back ends (13, 14). ADVANTAGE - Rigidity of torsion of ski is progressively asymmetric.
