Protective device of the cap type intended to protect the exploitation equipment, such as valves (5), taps (cocks), clack valves, etc., of reservoirs (3) under pressure of fluids, which device includes, on the one hand, tilting members of the hinge type (4) rendered integral with the reservoir (3), which allows the said cap (2) to be opened by rotation about the hinge (4) pin and which on the other hand includes locking members (6), the device being characterised in that associated with the locking member (6) is a load transmission member (7) including a surface intended to be located facing the exploitation member such as the valve (5), the member (7) being supported by means (8), (9) allowing it to be displaced such that when the valve is operating and under the urge of the pressure of the flow which is escaping from the said valve (5) it is displaced, entraining with it the locking member (6), with which it interacts, which makes it possible to free the end (10) of this locking member from its retaining housing (11), and consequently allows the movable part of the tap (2) to tilt and the valve flow to be discharged freely. <IMAGE> |
