- The invention relates to a device for holding ajar an element which can move with respect to a fixed element, such as the opening frame of a window, with respect to its standing frame, of the type including an elongate component (5) joining the said elements and capable of immobilising, by fixing means (6), the said movable element in order to hold it in a given relative angular position. - Advantageously, the said fastening means (6) are defined by a first end (5A) of the said elongate component, which bears against a first face (2C) of the said movable element (2), and by an eccentric member (8) which is mounted pivoting about the said elongate component, in the vicinity of its first end, and which is applied, through rotation, against a second face (2D) of the said movable element, approximately opposite the said first face, in order to immobilise the said movable element 92) in the said position by wedging. <IMAGE>
