Articulation device for a motor vehicle doorframe supported by two arms (3, 4) rotationally mounted on a bearing (10) carried by a fixed structure (11), in which the load required to open and to close is assisted by a thruster (14), characterised in that the bearing (10) is carried by a clevis (15) by which the articulated arms (3, 4) are mounted, and extends in a lock unit which carries the catch (keeper) (12) for receiving the lock bolt (18) of the locking mechanism and the axis (16) by which the end of the thruster (14) is articulated. <IMAGE>
