The three-compartment sliding knee prosthesis, comprising a femoral component (F), a patellar component, and a tibial component (T) of the type including a metal base (1) which receives a polyethylene plate (2), is distinguished by the fact that the base (1) has, in its median part, an oriented polygonal impression (1a) which is capable of permitting, if necessary, the attachment, by elasticity, of a stabilising and anchoring pin (3). On each side of the said impression (1a), the base (1) has lateral holes (1b) and (1c) for the fitting of cancellous bone screws. <IMAGE>
