PURPOSE:To improve sound insulation by a method wherein a damaping material is formed by lamination into one unit of a synthetic fiber mat in three dimensional network structure wherein the synthetic fibers are bonded at their intersecting points by heat sealing and an elastic body made by bonding elastic small pieces such as granulated rubber. CONSTITUTION:A synthetic fiber mat 2 is formed by a method wherein polyethylene fibers, polypropylene fibers or the like are uniformly scattered in three dimensional network and the fibers are bonded at their intersecting points by heat sealing. Small pieces 4 of elastic bodies such as rubber or cork having moderate compressive modulus and dynamic loss modulus are aggregated, and an elastic body 3 made by bonding elastic small pieces is formed by sticking the aforementioned small pieces together into one unit with adhesive agent. Then a soundproof damping material 1 is made up by laminating the synthetic fiber mat 2 and the elastic body 3 into one unit. After placing the soundproof damping material 1 on a floor board, a surface material is laid thereon. Therefore, sound insulation is ensured for light impact sound applied to the floor. |
