摘要 Thermoplastic mouding materials comprising a homogeneous mixt. of at least one sinterable metal or ceramic powder and at least one thermoplastic silicone resin of formula R1aSi(OH)b(OR2)cO(4-a-b-c)/2 (I) in which R1 = 1-18C alkyl, allyl, vinyl or phenyl, R2 = 1-18C alkyl, a = 0.95-1.5 and (b + c) is less than 0.3, and the (I) has a softenign pt. of 40-200 deg. C and a ceramic yield upon pyrolysis at 1000 deg. C of at least 60 wt.%. USE/ADVANTAGE - The compsns. have good thermoplastic processing properties which allows the prodn. of shaped parts e.g. by extrusion, injection moulding and hot pressing, and the shaped parts can then be fired at temps. up to 1000 deg. C and sintered at 1000-2000 deg. C without using a mould to yield fault-free sintered metal or ceramic bodies produced more rapidly and at lower cost than previous sintered bodies. The process can be used to make sintered articles of oxide ceramics such as Al2O3, MgO, ZrO2, Al2TiO5, and BaTiO3, non-oxidic ceramics such as SiC, Si3N4, BN, B4C, AlN, TiN, TiB2, ZrN, ZrB2 and TiC, hard metals such as WC and TaC alloys, and sinterable metals such as Si and alloy steel
