Injection mould for low pressure shot - has main feed bore leading to wider flat sections and simple design gates so that it only requires low injection pressure

An injection mould for plastic materials has a feed bore and moulding cavity. The feed bore has at least one flat wider part connected by a flat gate to the cavity; at least one moving advance tool cuts off the sprue in the wider part(s) when the mould opens, and this tool moves longitudinally to the ejector of the moulding. ADVANTAGE - The mould design is a cheap soln. to such problems as gate marks and difficult ejection. It is inexpensive and enables low injection pressures to be used.
