PURPOSE:To provide the device for immobilizing carbon dioxide to the deep sea which treats the carbon dioxide in waste combustion gases and immobilizes the carbon dioxide into the deep sea to decrease the carbon dioxide in the atm. air. CONSTITUTION:This device for immobilizing carbon dioxide to the deep sea has a transporting pipe 5 which extends down to the deep sea being the stable region of the carbon dioxide clathrate hydrate 7, has a means for supplying the carbon dioxide and the sea water at its inlet, has a carbon dioxide clathrate hydrate releasing valve 15 at the front end in the deep sea, temp. measuring instrument 9 and pressure measuring instruments 14 which are provided in the respective parts in the transporting pipe 5, and a means for controlling the supply rates of the inlet carbon dioxide and sea water and the opening degree of the carbon dioxide clathrate hydrate releasing valve 15 by the signals from the temp. measuring instruments 9 and the pressure measuring instruments 14.
